Blog: Finalists for the 2011 National Book Awards


The National Book Foundation has announced the finalists for the 2011 National Book Awards. The judges selected twenty books from a field of 1223 submitted by American publishers for American authors. Each finalist will receive $1000, a medal, and a citation.

The winners will be announced at the 62nd National Book Awards Benefit Dinner and Ceremony in New York City on Wednesday, November 16. Each winner will receive $10,000 and a bronze sculpture.
