Randolph Caldecott Medal

The Randolph Caldecott Medal, named in honor of the nineteenth-century English illustrator, is one of several medals bestowed by the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC), part of the American Library Association (ALA). The Caldecott is awarded annually to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children in English. The artists must be a U.S. citizen.
