From AwardAnnals
The International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award is sponsored by Dublin Corporation, (the municipal government of Dublin City, capital of Ireland) and IMPAC (Improved Management Productivity and Control). Libraries in capital and major cities throughout the world nominate books on the basis “high literary merit”, and the nominations are managed by Dublin City Public Libraries. The shortlist and the winner are selected by an international panel of judges which changes each year. The winner receives €100,000 and a trophy sponsored by Waterford Crystal.
Eligible books must be published in English and nominated by one of the participating libraries. The publisher must obtain the agreement of author (and translator if applicable) to participate in the award ceremony and at least four promotional events.
