National Book Critics Circle Award
From AwardAnnals
The National Book Critics Circle (NBCC), founded in 1974, is comprised of book review editors and reviewers interested in honoring quality writing. The centerpiece of NBCC activity is the awards ceremony held every March. The best books published in the U.S. in English receive honors in the five categories presented in the Book Award Annals.
In addition to the best book awards, the NBCC salutes one of its members with the Nona Balakian Citation for Excellence in Reviewing.
