What should have been a romantic morning-after turns sour when P.I. Fran Kirk gets two calls about the same dead body. Called out to a natural foods farm in Wyoming County, east of Buffalo, Fran’s job is to discover whether the apparent accidental death of a farmhand is really accidental. Fran works for the insurance company carrying Hickory Hills insurance, and they don’t want to pay up if they don’t have to.
